Crazy Food Prep Day.

So over the Holiday Weekend I took a day and did a ton of food prep. I made up more meat patties then I want to count (Beef, Buffalo, Chicken, Turkey, and Venison). We are officially stocked up for summer!

I made Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie dough to freeze and have whenever I head to visit my Grandpa. I also mixed up a batch of my Monster Cookies, again to have in the freezer for whenever they were requested. I would normally have made chocolate chip dough as well, but I made that up earlier in the week. I really love to be able to pull out as many cookies as I need/want and bake them off without having to mess up the whole kitchen.

I made Pie crusts as well. I made 3 recipes which works out to 6 pie crusts. I am not going to lie. I used al always buy my pie crusts until I found The Pioneer Woman. Her pie crust really does come out every time I have made it! Its flaky and wonderful! I love it!!!

I made up a loaf of Banana Bread. This was a new recipe I tried today. If it turns out well I will post that recipe later. I hope when we defrost the bread and try it, it tastes a yummy as it smelled cooking.

I also made Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread. My recipe was given to me by another friend while in massage school. I tend to shred my zucchini when we have more than we know what to do with and food saver it in recipe amounts. Again I love having it ready to go, one less step at the time of bread making.

I found some the yummy Weber Ranch sausage links in the deep freeze. SO, I made Hubby some breakfast burritos for the freezer. I would much rather take the time to make up a bunch for him then buy those prepackaged breakfast sandwiches. Simple Eggs, cheese, sausage, and tortilla! Worked out well.

I also made up, and by made up I mean just threw it together out of thin air, a Quiche. Cheese, half ham, half bacon, eggs, and asparagus on top. It looks pretty. I hope it tastes just as good! I’m looking forward to my next family gathering. They all get to taste test it for me. 🙂

So tell me, what are some of the things you love to have in the freezer ready to go? I am always looking for ideas!
