So Saturday afternoon was spent at my favorite farmers house! There was a ladies artisan swap today.
Once we all arrived, we got some goodies from the kitchen: cheese, crackers, bread, buffalo dip, artichoke dip, grapes, chocolate covered pretzels, blueberry crisp and drink of choice.
Then we headed to the table where we sat and talked for 2 hours about a bunch of different things like what we did for a living, how we got started canning/creating/etc, also what we brought for the swap. Ideas were bounced off each other. We talked, laughed, learned and had a great time. Those two hours went crazy fast!
I personally could have stayed and talked a whole lot longer. It is so nice to be with ladies who think the same way I do. I cannot wait to try out all our homemade stuff.
There was a total of 7 of us. We each brought homemade items to share. So I came home with 6 homemade items! They each got one of my Blueberry Pie Fillings and I came home with:
Laundry Detergent – use 1 TBSP
Blueberry Compote – serve over ice cream, on pancakes, etc
Peaches – best fresh peaches in the middle of winter
Vanilla – can be enjoyed in about 6 weeks!
Whipped Saving Cream
Wooden Decoration
Then of course our wonderful hostess had bags ready for us to fill with the goodies to make it easier to take home. As a special surprise she also put some of her homemade lip balm in the bags too! It was a great time and I can’t wait for the next one!
