Camping Part I

Yep, so we borrowed my in-laws camper for the summer again. With the best laid plans for camping at least 2 times a month. (We’ll see how well that works out)

For being crazy sick all week it turned out pretty well! Hubby had to do all the prep, cleaning and all. I was still sick when we left but I couldn’t tell the boys no. So off we went.

Meal plan was very simple, hamburgers, hotdogs, mac n cheese, pudgy pies, eggs, bacon, pancakes, strawberries, individual chip bags, trail mix, puppy chow, brownie cookies, and of course s’mores.

Fires by day and night. Walks and bike rides. Playground, toys, dominos, and card games. And 1 excursion to an antique store (looking for good cast iron – but it was WAY over priced). That is how we spent our weekend.

All in all it was a great weekend. We had fun. Great family time, bonding time, cuddle time, and learning experiences.

Just a couple of quick public service announcements:

1) PLEASE don’t drive through the camp ground at 11pm with your windows down and music blaring!

2) PLEASE talk to your children about general manners. Bring toys/activities that can entertain your child and don’t depend on others to do it for you.

But like I said it was a great first time out for the year. Pup did pretty well, hopefully he gets better about being inside for a while while we leave. The boys were great and I’m sure it will be better next time.

Oh and I found a game I actually like.  I’m not big into card games, board games, etc.  However we played dominos and Phase 10 (if you haven’t played – I suggest you give it a try)

Happy Summer Y’all!
