Peanut butter Kisses

So a holiday tradition we started with friends is a day of cookie baking, this year we did all these … amazing!!!!

Then we also had these at home, a holiday favorite in my house are those little peanut butter cookies with the Hersey kiss on them. There are a ton of recipes out there but this one is a favorite in my family. We like the cookies little and the kisses right in the center.


Now sometimes there are little fingers helping, means I have to be extra careful. Sometimes extra washing of the hands, moving cookies before they go into the oven or when there aren’t going to be enough kisses because of kiss thieves you change it up a little.

We all know that any cookie recipe started with the basic – Preheat the oven to 350°F. From there it is creaming together some ingredients. 1/2 cup shortening and 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter.

Add in the sweet stuff, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar. Then add egg, 2 Tbsp milk, 1 tsp vanilla.

Sifting together other ingredients 1 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking soda.

Adding it all together until just combined. Then using a very small scoop create balls, roll in sugar and place on parchment lined baking sheets. While the cookies bake unwrap the kisses! Once the cookies come out of the oven press those kisses right into the center.

These are so good, and always on the Santa plate every year! Have a Happy Holiday Season!

Peanut Butter Kisses

1/2 Cup Shortening
3/4 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 TBSP Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
Sugar to coat
Hershey Kisses

Preheat Over to 350°F

Cream together shortening and creamy peanut butter.
Add sugars, egg, milk, and vanilla and beat until well combined.
Shift together dry ingredients and add to batter, but do not over mix.

Using a small scoop (so your cookies are equal in size) portion out cookie dough. Roll into a ball and coat in sugar.

Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350°F
