Oh My Goodness!!!!
So our we started our seeds, which I am sharing with my neighbor this year. It is her first year with a garden at this house so since she has to prep her garden beds I offered to start the seeds for her since I will be doing my own anyway.
This year she also wanted to have chickens again. Now were we live in the city limits we are not allowed to have chickens. Luckily for her (and me), her in-laws live on a farm not 5 minutes down the road. Her in-laws are allowing them to have a chicken coop and run on their property.
So we are jumping in and learning about chickens because my boys are very interested. She actually invited us to meet them at the store and help pick out the little fluff balls! SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!
Well since my boys, and to be honest me too, were totally interested in learning I asked if we could help keep the chicks until it was time for them to move to the farm. So a sterlite container is in my house filled with a food dish, water dish, perch, and 12, yes 12 little chicks. The fur baby is so interested in this little fluff balls as well.
We are handling the chicks multiple times a day and talking to them so they get used to us. Little man was scared at first but now is happy to hold one for a few seconds. Both boys are so proud to have them they invited my parents over and their friends. It’s so much fun!
This is another one of those things that I NEVER, like NEVER EVER thought I would be excited about. I am petting, holding, and really enjoying these little girls (please all be girls)!
These girls are getting big, a heck of a lot faster than I thought. we have even changed to a larger bin and taken the girls outside to enjoy the great outdoors!
