Have you ever looked at something and thought WOW I need to get organized. Or in this case for me … why do I have so many recipes and seem to only make the same 7 things for dinner.
Well I made the decision that’s going to change! I started by tossing cook books I have never used into the donation pile. Then I put away all the recipes we have made before, that never got filed away again.
Now here is where this blog comes in. Yep you will get to see the recipes I make and change into something my family loves! If we don’t love it then I won’t post it!
The first of many recipes to come OVEN FRIED CHICKEN!!! Yum!!! This is a really easy and quick put together recipe. Like 7 total ingredients! A brown paper lunch bag and foil makes clean up easy! Love this recipe!
You start by preheating the oven to 350°F. Then you line a 9×13 baking dish. Put in the oil to make a thin coating on the bottom. For oil I use half extra virgin olive oil and half vegetable oil.
Then in a brown paper lunch bag put flour, season salt, garlic powder, and pepper, shake the bag to mix those together.
Drop a chicken breast into the bag seal top and shake to coat. Remove and put it skin side down in the baking dish. Repeat with the last 3 breasts. Throw the bag away. (I told you easy clean up)
Bake for 30 minutes with the skin side down. Flip skin side up bake for another 30 minutes.
Now back to the easy clean up. Just throw the foil (with the baked on crusty stuff) away.
Done! The great thing about this dish is it is yummy hot but it is fried chicken so pack it up and take it on a picnic! Picnic time is going to come at some point. Side dish options are endless!
