Salisbury Steaks

You guys I don’t remember growing up eating these. But it is really good. Really good and super easy. So, there are a ton of recipes out there. A bunch of options but I am going to be honest, I am not the best at remembering to defrost meat. I mean like I almost always have to change meal plans because I don’t have defrosted meat.

This recipe makes it ok to forget to defrost the meat. You put it into the crockpot frozen. Yep frozen!

Anyway, I buy ground beef in the large family pack amounts. When I get it home I portion it out into 4 ounce patties flash freeze and then store in a zip top freezer bag. That way the meat is ready to put on the grill for burgers or I can grab four patties to make a pound of whatever the amount the recipe is calling for.

So, for this I use 6 patties in the crockpot. Pour the sauce over the top and cook all day. CRAZY easy and so yummy. Then before serving if you want a gravy to put over mashed potatoes you just thicken the sauce and you are good to go.

Salisbury Steaks

1 ½ pounds ground beef
2 Cups Beef Broth
1 tsp Beef Broth Soup Base
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
4 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce

Divide the ground beef into 4 ounce patties freeze. Put into crockpot.

In a measuring cup mix together the broth, soup base, Dijon mustard, and worcestershire sauce. Pour over the patties in the crockpot.

Cook all day on low.

Pull the cooked patties out of the liquid and add a slurry of water and cornstarch to the hot liquid and stir until thickened.

Serve the patties with mashed potatoes with the gravy you just made.
