Steak tips are a quick cooking dinner option. My whole family loves. I normally end up serving them with hummus, rice, and pita bread.
Now it is well documented in this blog that I am forever forgetting to defrost meat I need to cook for dinner. I pulled these out of the deep freeze and put them in the microwave on defrost, they were still slightly frozen in the middle but it was thawed enough to be easy to cut into pieces. So this meal is super easy.
Quickly mix all but steak together then add chunks of steak to the bowl. (I used sirloin steaks about 1 ½ pounds of steak. I then cut it into chunks.) Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours if not longer.
Heat cast iron pan add the chunks of steak and cook until all sides are browned. Remove the steak tips from the pan and loosely cover with foil. Add the marinade to the pan and simmer until it reduces by half. Add the tips back in and serve.
